When Kerala faced devastating floods in 2018, We promptly mobilised our resources to alleviate the suffering. We played a significant role in the rehabilitation efforts, ensuring the construction of over 10,000 houses in Kerala. 5000 + houses rebuilding assistance, 1000+ UPS support to Govt, hospitals, 1000 solar lamps to community, 500+ toolkits to electricians Additionally, we extended medical assistance to hospitals, and offered scholarships and educational support to the children of affected families, empowering them with opportunities for a brighter future.
Assam Flood Support
In 2022, Legrand undertook the complete reconstruction of the flood-affected Kharballi L.P. School in Barpeta, Assam with the primary goal of restoring hope and providing a brighter future for the 400+ children. By employing local villagers for the construction, Group Legrand India not only provided employment opportunities but also fostered a strong sense of community involvement.
Assisting in Adversities: COVID-19 response
In times of adversity, Legrand believes in taking action where it is most needed. The global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic presented numerous challenges for communities worldwide, prompting us to swiftly respond to the pressing needs that emerged. When Odisha confronted destructive cyclones in 2019, We worked hand in hand with the respective state authorities, playing a significant role in the rehabilitation efforts. Additionally, we facilitated the re-electrification & infrastructure support to more than 300 classrooms in Odisha.
